Abstract
EFFECTIVENESS OF LUMBAR SUPPORT ON BACKACHE AMONG POSTOPERATIVE PATIENTS SUBJECTED TO ABDOMINAL SURGERY

Backache is considered to be one of the most common postoperative complaints. It has a direct and immediate effect on the physical functioning. It usually results in restriction of movement, specifically on movement of the affected area of the back. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of lumbar support on postoperative backache among patients subjected to abdominal surgery. Samples of 30 patients were randomly assigned to study and control group. Lumbar support was significantly effective in reducing backache.
