Abstract
INSILICO PREDICTION OF BIO-ACTIVIY OF FLAVONOIDS PRESENT IN ERYTHRINA VARIGATA

Molecular property and bio-activity scores of sixteen flavonoids present in Erythrina varigata leaves were predicted using molinspiration software. For all the flavonoids, MiLog P values were found to be <5 indicated their good permeability across the cell membrane. TPSA were well below 160 Ǻ2 (18.468 to 120.357). Number of hydrogen bond donors < 5 and hydrogen bond acceptor <8.These result revealed that these flavonoids were found to obey Lipinski’s rule and can also act as a good binder towards few receptors. Erysenegalensin-F (2.941) was found have lowest log p values indicate its good drug likeness score compared to others. Knowing these binding capability, bioactivity scores towards GPCR ligand and as ion channel modulator, nuclear receptor ligand, inhibitor activities towards kinase, protease and enzymes were evaluated. The result showed that 1-methoxyphaseolludin exhibited the highest score (0.36) towards GPCR ligand, nuclear receptor ligand (0.78) and enzyme inhibitor (0.70) activities among the sixteen flavonoids. 1-methoxyphaseolludin, Isowigteone and Vogelin-J also act as protease (-0.14, -0.39&0.04), enzyme (0.70, 0.31&0.43) and kinase inhibitors (0.02, 0.02& 0.19) moderately compare to others.
