Abstract
POST PARTUM HYPERNATREMIA PRESENTING AS QUADRIPARESIS SECONDARY TO RHABDOMYOLYSIS AND SUPERIOR SAGITTAL SINUS THROMBOSIS: A CASE REPORT

Postpartum female 15 days after delivery presented to our hospital with history of fever with altered sensorium. Examination revealed patient being irritable and inability to move all four limbs. Laboratory investigations revealed hypernatremia and elevated creatinine phospho kinase (CPK). MRI showed features suggestive of sagittal sinus thrombosis. We are reporting a case of quadriparesis secondary to rhabdomyolysis and superior sagittal sinus thrombosis in post partum female emphasizing potential complications of hypernatremia.
