Abstract
AUTO-TRANSPLANTATION OF MANDIBULAR THIRD MOLAR: A CASE REPORT

Autogenous transplantation is considered as a fast feasible and economically viable option for the replacement of missing teeth with a suitable donor tooth. The aim of this paper is to present a successful auto transplantation of a mature mandibular third molar (tooth #38) with complete root development used as autogenous replacement for mandibular second molar (tooth #37). The mandibular second molar was non-restorable after a failed root canal treatment. Root canal therapy was not performed on the mandibular third molar after extractions. After a traumatic extraction of mandibular second molar, the mandibular third molar was immediately transplanted into the recipient site.
