Abstract
DIRECT LINEAR POSTERIOR APPROACH FOR POSTERIOR COLUMN TIBIAL PLATEAU FRACTURE WITH T PLATE APPLICATION

Posterior column tibial plateau fractures are not uncommon ,they are often corrected by surgical treatment , reduction and fixation usually requires for most of the fractures .The direct linear posterior approach to posterior tibial plateau fractures, with the patient in a prone position, has been used to overcome limitations related to basic approaches. This technique allows the direct visualization, good reduction of fracture and easy application of the screws from posterior to anteriorly without the extensive muscular damage and dissection of the neurovascular bundle, with minimal blood loss and for placement of an antiglide buttress plate at the fracture site
