Abstract
DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF MARUTI SUZUKI WAGON R USING CFD

Now a days the demand of a high speed cars are increasing day by day among them the stability of those cars are taken as a major concern. In those cases, the aerodynamics design of the particular car places an important role in the performance of those cars. The forces like drag force and lift forces plays an important role in the aerodynamics performances. Among them drag force plays a vital role in the aerodynamics performances in the car. Here the model we choose is Maruti Wagon R because the aerodynamics performance of the car is poor while compare with performance of the other car, it also affects the fuel consumption of the car. Here the model of the car is getting developed in the creo parametric 2.0 software and the model is get analyzed in the ANSYS software by using the Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software. Here for the reduction for the drag co-efficient of the Wagon R is reduced by adding some devices like vortex generator, spoilers, draft tubes etc. On buying adding any of these components drag can be get reduced. Thus the model is been developed and redesigned and finally get analyzed.
