In the present work we have planned to screen anti ulcerogenic activity from fruit of Momordica cymbalaria belonging to family Cucurbitaceae. The fruit powder was extracted successively in both alcohol and aqueous and were subjected for phytochemical screening for determination of various Phytochemical constituents. Studies for both alcoholic and aqueous extracts were conducted up to the dose level of 2 g/kg by following OECD up and down method of guidelines No.425.The anti ulcerogenic activity was evaluated in various animal models like Pylorus ligation, aspirin, stress induced ulcer models in rats.
