Abstract

A total of 88 women were selected retrospectively from this group the tissue samples of breast cancer had been analyzed using immunohistochemical techniques to understand the tumor markers (HER2/neu, ER, and PR) with histological grade. Objective to compare the expression of tumor markers (HER2/neu, ER, and PR) with tumor histological grade. The histological grade 0 with HER2/neu+ve, ER +ve, and PR +ve are (75%), whereas among HER2/neu+ve, ER – ve, and PR – ve are (25%). The histological grade I with HER2/neu+ve, ER +ve and PR +ve are (66.7%), whereas among HER2/neu+ve, ER +ve, and PR – ve are (16.7%). While, HER2/neu+ve, ER – ve, and PR – ve are (16.7%), whereas among HER2/neu – ve, ER +ve, and PR +ve are (100%).Histological grade II with HER2/neu+ve, ER +ve, and PR +ve are (66.7%), whereas among HER2/neu+ve, ER – ve, and PR – ve are (33.3%). While, HER2/neu– ve, ER – ve, and PR +ve are (100%). The histological grade III with HER2/neu+ve, ER +ve, and PR +ve are (34.6%), whereas among HER2/neu+ve, ER +ve, and PR – ve are (7.7%). While, HER2/neu+ve, ER – ve, and PR +ve are (15.4%).The histological grade with HER2/neu+ve, ER – ve, and PR – ve are (42.3%), whereas among HER2/neu – ve, ER +ve, and PR – ve are (4%). While, HER2/neu– ve, ER +ve , and PR +ve are (4%), whereas among HER2/neu – ve, ER – ve , and PR +ve are (16%) whereas among HER2/neu – ve, ER – ve , and PR – ve are (76%). In this study population, the HER-2/neu expression and hormone receptors (ER, and PR) its relation with histological grade determined.
