Objectives: To assess the dentition status and treatment needs of engineering students in Jaipur city, Rajasthan. Materials and Methods: A total of 469 subjects selected from five Engineering colleges randomly from all parts of the city. The proforma included questions on oral hygiene practices, dentition status, and treatment needs. Data thus collected subjected to statistical analysis using frequency distribution and chi-square test. Results: Among the total subjects, 54.6% (256) of the subjects were males and 45.4% (213) were females in the study. 53.7% of the subjects had decayed teeth. However, frequency of filled teeth (4.3%), missing teeth due to caries (4.1%), bridge abutment (0.4%) and trauma (5.6%) was small. The decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) score was 0.3±.46.
