Abstract

Intercropping is more advantageous than monocropping and can save any farmer in case if one of the harvest fails or is destroyed by the pests. Intercropping is the agricultural practice of cultivating two or more crops in the same space at the same time. Intercropping not only improves soil fertility but also increases soil conservation through greater ground cover than sole cropping. Intercrops reduces pest incidence and also improve forage quality. Intercropping provides insurance against crop failure or against unstable market prices
