Abstract
MONITORING WATER QUALITY OF PARAMETERS OF GROUND WATER NEAR INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, TADA, S.P.S.R NELLORE (DIST), A.P., INDIA

Pollution of water bodies is one of the areas of major concern to environmentalists. Water quality is an index of health and well being of a society. Industrialization, urbanization and modern agriculture practices have direct impact on water resources. These factors influence the water resources quantitatively and qualitatively. This paper presents ground water quality of Industrial area in TADA; fifteen different locations were selected for the study and compared. The parameters studied were temperature, pH, turbidity, total hardness, total alkalinity, sulphate, chloride, fluoride, conductivity and total dissolved solids. From overall analysis, it was observed that there was a slight fluctuation in the physico-chemical parameters of parameters of the water sample with WHO, BIS and ICMR limits showed that the ground water is severely polluted and account for health hazards for human use
