Aim to evaluate the effectiveness of selected nursing measures on labour outcome among primi gravid mothers. The study was conducted in Nirmala Hospital, in suryapet in with 700 annual births. The postnatal mothers were recruited and were allocated by non-probability purposive sampling technique into the two arms of the study, but only 20 in study and 20 in control group participants. Selected nursing measures intervention was given by investigator before starting the intervention. Pre assessment level of outcome was done in both experiment and control group. Post test was assessed without administering the nursing measures for the control group. In the experimental group, the investigator assessed the level of first stage of labour to third stage of labour was assessed for labour outcome using a structured observational record sheet. In active stage of labour (3-6 cm of cervical dilatation) the women completed the demographic and obstetrical information and pain was measured by 5- 15 Modified observational record sheet on labour outcome. This study revealed that there was high significant difference found in pain at p<0.001level between study and control group. The study concluded that, clinical implementation of nursing measures usage during postpartum period could be an effective non pharmacological intervention in improving labour outcome.
