Abstract
A PILOT STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF VACHA AND PIPPALI AVAPEEDA NASYA ON ARDHAVBHEDAK WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO MIGRAINE

The disease Ardhavbhedak is one among the eleven types of headache described by Acharya Sushruta. It can be compared with migraine. Globally, approximately 15% of the population is affected by migraines at some point in life. Nasyakarma is the main principle of treatment for it. Vacha and pippaliavpeedanasya is one among them. Both the ingredients are readily available .This pilot study was conducted in the OPD of Govt. Ayurved college Raipur. Total twelve patients were registered for this study, out of which 10 patients have completed the study. Very encouraging result was obtained from this study. For a definite conclusion further large scale study needed.
