234ASSOCIATION OF SYPHILIS WITH HIVData was collected from 200 patients suffering from STDs. The diagnosis of the various STDs was established by standard laboratory investigations done with blood, urine, cervical, vaginal and urethral swabs and exudates from the lesions .Out of the 200 patients studied 20 were reactive for HIV -1 antibodies.
