<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>243</id><JournalTitle>STUDY OF COMMON PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH MENSTRUATION AMONG ADOLESCENT GIRLS</JournalTitle><Abstract>Menarche indicates that a females reproductive organ have become functionally active. Given the increasing
importance of reproductive health of adolescent girls, it is crucial to study issues related to menstrual practices, especially in
the context of their socioeconomic environment. Present study was carried out with an objective to know about the menarche
age and common problems of menstruation among adolescents. The understanding of such issues will help health planners
and providers to plan intervention strategies that promote healthy behavior among adolescent girls. Study concluded that
More than 50 percent of girls were having pre information about menstruation. The mother is the major source of information
about menstruation. The mean age of menarche of girls is 12.9 years, English medium students menarche age is 12.7 and
Hindi medium students menarche age is 13.0 years. Girls observe fatigue and pain during menses. The problem of pain is
more prevalent in English medium students. Irregularity of menstruation cycle is the most common problem for which
