(uncoated tablet), Cravit® tablets (coated tablet), and Dantrium® capsules (capsule) were used as the test reagents. The three
drugs were suspended by simply using a microwave oven set at 500 W for 10 seconds followed by about one minute of
shaking. The analysis of the suspensions by high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode-array detection
confirmed that no new compounds or decomposition products were produced by the treatment with the microwave oven. In
addition, quantitative analysis of the main ingredient of each drug was almost 100%. The suspension method using a
microwave oven is very simple and rapid. And the microwave oven suspension method is expected to become a new
administering drugs method for swallowing difficulties patients.
<Email>n-wakui@hoshi.ac.jp</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>5</volume><issue>10</issue><year>2015</year><keyword>Simple suspension method, crushed tablet, microwave oven,HPLC/PDA</keyword><AUTHORS>Nobuyuki Wakui,Miho Yamamura,Sakiko Ando,Yoshiaki Machida, hotaro Sakurai</AUTHORS><afflication>Division of Applied Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hoshi University, Tokyo, Japan.,Division of Applied Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hoshi University, Tokyo, Japan.,Division of Applied Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hoshi University, Tokyo, Japan.,Division of Applied Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hoshi University, Tokyo, Japan.,Division of Applied Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hoshi University, Tokyo, Japan.</afflication></Article></Articles>
