Hard
acrylic denture bases are liable to stress the mucosa beyond its physiological levels of tolerance leading to inflammation and
resorption. Excessive resorption of the residual ridges may cause impairment of stability of the denture bases, which is
accompanied by soreness, pain and discomfort to the patient masticatory system. The present study was conducted to
evaluate the tensile bond strength of some of the commercially available soft liners with denture base resin.
<Email>vinayvela@rediffmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>5</volume><issue>11</issue><year>2015</year><keyword>Tensile strength, Silicone soft liner,Acrylic soft line,Heat cure resin</keyword><AUTHORS>V.Harishnath,C.Sabarigirinathan,K.Vinayagavel,P.Rupkumar,V.Parimala,S.Bhuvaneswari</AUTHORS><afflication>Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, Chennai- 600003, Tamilnadu, India.,Professor and Head,Department of Prosthodontics, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, Chennai- 600003, Tamilnadu, India.,Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, Chennai- 600003, Tamilnadu, India.,Associate Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, Chennai- 600003, Tamilnadu, India.,Assistance Professor,Department of Prosthodontics, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, Chennai- 600003, Tamilnadu, India.,Post graduate student, Department of Prosthodontics, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, Chennai- 600003, Tamilnadu, India.</afflication></Article></Articles>
