<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>409</id><JournalTitle>ADOPTION OF NEW PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY OF TOMATO IN NAVSARI DISTRICT OF SOUTH GUJARAT</JournalTitle><Abstract>South Gujarat is well known for growing of tomato. It is the good source of income for South Gujarat poor families.
Considering the importance of the crop Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari established separate research unit of
vegetable under the R.H.R.S. for inventing new technologies for vegetable crops to increase production and productivity of
crop and to avail maximum net return. The study was conducted in ten villages of five districts of South Gujarat. From each
village, 12 tomato growers were randomly selected and thus total 120 tomato growers were form the sample size for this
study. They were personally interviewed with pre structured interview schedule. The study revealed that more than half of the
respondent were found in medium level of knowledge, had medium level of adoption and majority of them were found in
medium level of adoption gap. Practice wise Gap in adoption, regarding sets treatment in tomato crop was found first rank. A
