<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>485</id><JournalTitle>PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS AND BIOCHEMICAL ESTIMATION OF ULVA LACTUCA AND ULVA RETICULATA</JournalTitle><Abstract>To identification of biochemical estimation and phytochemical analysis of Ulva lactuca, Ulva reticulate. The
preliminary phytochemical performed by Harborne method and biochemical identication based on the standard methods. The
results of the phytochemical analysis we identified Alkaloids, Phenol, Flavonoids, Sponin, Quinone, Steriods, Tanin,
Carboxylic acid, Xanthoprotein, curcumins in both two seaweeds U. lactuca and Ulva reticulata. In biochemical estimation,
Carbohydrates ranges from 30.1 and 28.7. Protein ranges from 10.45 and 7.68, in lipid ranges from 7.45 and 5.35. From the
results, it can be concluded that the solvent extracts of U. lactuca and U. reticulata showed a number of metabolites presence,
further work will emphasize the isolation and characterization of active principles responsible for bio-efficacy and
