549STUDY OF AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF VRIKSHAMALA (GARCINIA INDICA) IN ANIMAL MODEL OF METABOLIC SYNDROMEThe metabolic syndrome is a common metabolic disorder that results from the increasing prevalence of obesity predisposes individuals to 2 pivotal components of metabolic syndrome: obesity and insulin resistance. Therefore, the large need is to lower down the increasing obesity across the world. To evaluate the therapeutic effect of aqueous extract of Vrikshamala (Garcinia indica) in different doses forms in High fat diet & dexamethasone induced metabolic syndrome in animal model. Statistically significant changes were observed in Serum. triglycerides, HDL and FBS levels and weight.
