DU findings were
retrospectively analyzed on 50 healthy individuals contemplating renal transplantation. DU and multidetector computed
tomographic angiography were conducted prior to donor nephrectomy. A variety of DU indices were obtained, including
PSV, RI, PI and EDV. Donors ranged in age from 22 to 38 years. The median DU indices of the right kidney were
significantly different from those of the left kidney, but not for pulsatility index. Overall this investigation indicates that the
left and right kidneys are not significantly different in terms of DU indices, except for P value
<Email>Santhosh@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>8</volume><issue>3</issue><year>2018</year><keyword>Doppler ultrasonography, Kidney hemodynamics, renal transplant donors, renal blood flow, Pulsatility index,Resistive index</keyword><AUTHORS>Santhosh Kumar R</AUTHORS><afflication>Assistant Professor, Department of General Medicine, Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital, Chennai – 600044, Tamil Nadu, India</afflication></Article></Articles>
