Kajli. The height of treated plants was increased in GA 3 treated plants of both cultivars and the increase was proportionate to
the increase in concentration. Both the cultivars produced good percentage of male catkins along with female catkins at 200
ppm GA3 treatment. The male flowers produced by the influence of GA3 in both the cultivars showed moderate pollen
fertility. The leaf lobation varied from bud to bud and branch to branch. The percentage of 3 – 6 lobed, 2 – 3 lobed, unlobed
and lobed leaves scored in plants treated with growth regulators. GA 3 treated plants of ML and Kajli showed maximum
percentages of unlobed leaves.
<Email>raj.govind51@yahoo.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>4</volume><issue>5</issue><year>2014</year><keyword>Morus,Mysore local,Kajli,Gibberellic acid,Sex modification,Leaf lobation</keyword><AUTHORS>Govinda Raju MV,Basavaiah</AUTHORS><afflication>Department of studies in Sericulture Science, University of Mysore, Manasagangothri, Mysore- 570006 Karnataka, India,Professor, Department of studies in Sericulture Science, University of Mysore, Manasagangothri, Mysore- 570006 Karnataka, India</afflication></Article></Articles>
